Oakland Strokes traveled 4 boats to race at Head of the Charles this October. Athletes got the chance to compete at one of the largest regattas, racing against crews from around the world.

Oakland Strokes kicked off the fall racing season at Head of the Estuary. Our first hosted event of the season, we welcomed Pacific Rowing Club, Los Gatos Rowing Club, Berkeley High and Lake Merritt for a fun day of racing.

In a remarkable display of their commitment and dedication, the Oakland Strokes fielded a club record 69 athletes across nine boats in the US Rowing Youth National Championships. Six of those nine boats made the A final for their respective events, demonstrating the program's quality across age categories and boat classes. This massive showing, the largest in the club's history, saw them compete against over 8,000 athletes from 224 clubs across the nation.

Oakland Strokes competed at the 2024 Southwest Regional Championships on May 3rd-5th. The team raced hard throughout the weekend, securing many spots to race in the grand finals on Sunday.

Oakland Strokes traveled up to race at the River City Channel Scramble last weekend. Athletes got a chance to race in a wide range of events throughout the day. Strokes is looking forward to out final regular season regatta next weekend in Rancho Cordova at the Southwest Regional Championships. 

Oakland Strokes traveled down to San Diego last week for an exciting weekend of racing. The San Diego Crew Classic offers a unique racing experience on Mission Bay, with racing for high school, collegiate, and masters athletes.

Oakland Strokes competed again on March 17th at the Pacific Invite in San Francisco. Athletes competed throughout the day in many events, from the 2- to the 8+. Of the 34 boats that Strokes entered in the regatta, 29 achieved a top 3 finish.

Oakland Strokes hit the ground running for the 2024 racing season with Faultline Faceoff Invitational. Faultline Faceoff, a strokes hosted event, brought in crews from throughout California for a fantastic weekend of racing.

The Oakland Strokes High School squad ended their Fall racing season in style at the Head of the Lagoon Regatta in Foster City on November 12, 2023. 

The U15 Competitive squad traveled out to San Francisco on November 18th to race at the Head of the Merced. Athletes put up some speedy times around the lake as they got to have their first taste of racing on the 3500m course.
