First Race of 2022: Head of the Estuary

Oakland Strokes kicked off the 2022 Fall racing season this past weekend with the Head of the Estuary, a head race on our home waters. We hosted crews from Berkeley High School, East Bay Rowing Club, and Lake Merritt Rowing Club.

Tidewater boathouse served as the starting line, with crews racing up through the bridges that connect Oakland and Alameda, and around Coast Guard Island, where they finished at the Brooklyn Basin pier
