Head of the Charles 2022

Oakland Strokes competed again on October 23rd at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, MA. The Head of the Charles is the largest three-day rowing regatta in the world, attracting youth, collegiate and masters athletes, as well as World Champions and even Olympians. More than 11,000 athletes from around the world compete in 55 different race events.

The athletes fought hard in both the Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4+ events, securing bids to come back and race again next year. The results are as follows:

Womens V8+: 16th

Womens V4+: 41st

Mens V8+: 9th

Mens V4+: 8th

A big thank you to everyone who helped on this journey to the Charles! This race would not have been possible without the many volunteers and chaperones helping to get the athletes to Boston.
